Once a Girl Scout, always a Girl Scout.  Did you love camp and making your first sit-upon or friendship stick? Maybe earning badges or traveling on a Wider Opportunity or destination helped you explore new interests. Are you still friends with the sister Girl Scout you met fifty years ago? Did Girl Scouts ignite a spark that led you to your current major in college? Whatever your connection to Girl Scouts, we would like you to consider joining our Alumnae Association, and sharing your talents with the next generation of Girl Scouts. There are three ways to join. 1) Download our contact form, fill it out and send it to Council Headquarters. ATTN: Alumnae Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland Council 1700 WaterMark Drive Columbus OH 43215-1097 2) Register on the GSUSA Alumnae Association web site by giving your name and council and creating a username for future logins. 3) Email us at alumnae@gsoh.org and include your name, address, and phone number. Please include your Girl Scout connections, including years you've been a member, any awards you've received, geographic location (service unit, neighborhood, or troop #), volunteer activities, special projects, or camps attended. We'll enter you in our database and keep you updated on Girl Scout events and opportunities just for alumnae. Several Alumnae gatherings have taken place throughout our council. Trefoil 1 Trefoil 1 is a group of adults whose mission is to support the Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland in a variety of ways. We assist where needed and since 1987 have supplied the Girl Scout Gold Award pins for girls who complete the requirements. In addition, we have supported the camps with the purchase of canoes, flag poles, the windmill at Becky’s Pond at Camp Ken-Jockety, a pool sweeper for Camp Molly Lauman, and a sound system for the Elam Center, to name a few. We meet twice a year for socializing and keeping up with current Girl Scout trends; pay annual dues of $10 each fall; and participate in only one fundraising activity, our annual ‘non-event,’ the Thinking Day Tea. These funds are used to supply the Gold Award pins. In spring 2013 we purchased 17 pins. All interested adults are invited to participate in the fall meeting, Trefoil 1 membership, and/or the Thinking Day Tea. Please call for further information. We hope you’ll join us!
