A successful Girl Scout troop needs more than two leaders to pull all the troop pieces together. Each troop needs the involvement of the girls’ families, also. The patch program, Families of the Heartland, guides families on how they can help strengthen the troop and enhance the Girl Scout experience for their daughter and the entire troop.
