Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland Council, Inc. will receive $5,382.97 from The Big Give!
The Columbus Foundation created The Big Give, a 24-hour giving event for community members to support the non-profits they care about in central Ohio. The Big Give started at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 10 and ended at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 11. The Big Give leveraged more than $8.7 million for area non-profits - a truly extraordinary day of giving for our extraordinary city.
If you contributed during The Big Give, thank you! This historic day of giving enables Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland Council to provide even more girls with the benefits of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
You may view our informational portrait here. Donations received during the event were matched through a pro-rated portion of the final match pool—giving everyone who participated the opportunity to have a percentage of their donation(s) matched.
For example, if $2 million was contributed during the 24-hours of giving, it would be divided by the $1 million available in the matching pool. The results would be that every dollar donated would be matched with 50 cents.
