A day in the life of a Girl Scout differs from others. As part of the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls, Girl Scouts’ days are filled with the fun, friendship, and power of girls together, while developing the leadership skills needed to thrive in today’s world.
Girl Scouts serve girls of every race, faith, economic status, and physical ability. Through safe, girl-centric activities, girls find courage to explore new experiences, confidence to test their abilities, and character to stand by their values.
We invite you to discover yourself, connect with others, and take action to make the world a better place!

Girl Scout membership is open to:
• Girls - Any girl in kindergarten through grade 12 who accepts the Promise and the Law, and pays $12 annual dues.
There are six Pathways for girls to be involved in Girl Scouts:
Camp | Events | Series
Travel | Troop | Virtual
The Troop Pathway is the traditional way girls have participated in Girl Scouts. Troops are still very popular and a wonderful way to be involved, however, there is no one way to participate in Girl Scouts. A girl may start on one Pathway, then change her mind and take part in another. Or, she may decide to participate in more than one Pathway. The first step is simply being a girl who wants to make choices about her leadership path. She can mix and match based on her interests and create her own journey filled with wonderful adventures!.
• Adults - Any adult, 18 or older, who accepts the organization’s principles and beliefs, and pays annual or lifetime dues. Lifetime membership is available to adults. A special lifetime membership, at a reduced cost, is offered to girls who are registered Girl Scouts at the time of their high school graduation, provided they apply for lifetime membership before their current annual membership expires. Download the Lifetime Membership Brochure for more information. Please note: Lifetime membership forms must be received at the Council Headquarters no later than September 15, 2013, to be purchased at the current $300 level, or for graduating seniors, at the discounted rate of $156. Please contact CORAhelp@gsoh.org with questions.
Girl Scouts values diversity and will not deny membership due to race, age, religion, ethnicity, or socio-economic status.
Girls may join at any time of year into their current Girl Scout Level, whether or not they have any Girl Scouting experience.
