Stitching Together Ohio's Heartland - Quilt Barn Heritage Project

We're celebrating the 100th Anniversary in a big way by designing and hanging unique quilt barn squares throughout Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland! You can help by making a quilt barn square, finding a place to hang it in your community, and earning a unique patch to commemorate your own quilt barn square. For details, check out the guidelines.

It's A Girl Thing
This program has been designed exclusively for girls in grades 6-12! You will enjoy the luxuries of a hotel, meet new friends, and participate in exciting workshops that will include jewelry making, edible art, duct tape art, cake decorating, scrapbooking, hip hop/jazz, photography, yoga, safe dating, and Zumba, just to name a few. Use the registration form to register today!

Spring Xpo!  The Future is Now!
Saturday, April 28 - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Camp Ken-Jockety, Galloway (Franklin Co.)

Join us as we transform from the the modern day into the future at Spring Xpo 2012!  Enjoy hands-on activities to get you thinking about Girl Scouts in a different way!  Spring Xpo combines girl programming with adult learning opportunities.  Adults learn skills along with up to four of their girls and then receive a packet to take the skills back to their troop and expand it further! Rock the Mall with GSOH
Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouts in Washington D.C. June 8-10, 2012 at the Girl Scouts Rock the Mall Sing-Along! While in Washington D.C., we will attend the Rock the Mall Sing-Along as well as tour the city and see the sights! Activities may include visiting The White House, The Lincoln Memorial, The Vietnam Wall, and museums around the National Mall. Girls must be 12 years old by the time of the event.

One adult chaperone spot for every 10 girl participants will be available. To apply, please use the adult chaperone application.

2012 Girls' World Forum: 10 Million Girls, 1 Voice
Do you want to work with other girls to change the world? Travel to Chicago and interact with girls from all over the world at the Girls' World Forum (GWF) on July 12-16, 2012! The GWF is the third and final Centenary Celebration of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. Girls and volunteers will unite to discuss and take action on the United Nations' Millennium Development Goals.

Girls (ages 14-18) wishing to represent GSOH at this once in a lifetime event must fill out the GWF application. Young adults (ages 18-30) wishing to apply for the chaperone position must fill out the GWF Young Adult Chaperone application. Two girls and one young adult volunteer chaperone will be chosen. Birthplace Bound 2012 - UPDATED INFORMATION
August 3 - August 6, 2012
Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland Council will be celebrating the 100th Anniversary in Savannah, GA, including a special Spanning the Decades session at the Birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low. This opportunity is available to Girl Scouts who have completed 6th grade and up at the time of the event and their adult chaperones. Placement will begin on June 15, 2011 with a $125 non-refundable deposit per person. For an event overview, including estimated costs and registration information, check out the flier.
