Zink the Zebra is a program written by Kelly Weil, a girl who felt different than other people because of her cancer treatments. Kelly wanted to write a story that encouraged girls to talk about respecting one another, appreciating differences, treating others with compassion and accepting yourself for who you are.
Although Kelly's story is short, it identifies a serious problem many individuals with actual or perceived differences face every day. Each kit includes a video of Zink's story, an activity guide to help you work through the many important topics of the Zink program, a beautifully illustrated story book and a special Zink the Zebra beanie and patch.
Cost: $6 per girl (includes patch and Zink beanie toy)
A follow-up book (one per troop) is available at no cost. Follow-up arcs are available.
